On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the Wildfire Regulation, B.C. Reg. 38/2005, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 1, and

(

b) the Violation Ticket Administration and Fines Regulation, B.C. Reg. 89/97, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2.

Appendix 1

Section 33 of the Wildfire Regulation, B.C. Reg. 38/2005, is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) (

a) by adding “ 10, ” after “

section 6 (2), (3) or (4), 9, ”,

(

b) by repealing subsection (2) (

a) and substituting the following:

(a) $100 000 for the contravention of

section 6 (1), (2) or (3), 7 (2), (2.1) or (4), 22 (1), 34 (3) or 56 (2), and , and

(

c) in subsection (2) (

b) by striking out “ 5 (1) or (2) (

a) or (b), ” and substituting “ 5 (1) or (2), ”.

Section 34 (1) is amended by adding “ 8, ” after “

section 6 (2), (3) or (4), ”.

Appendix 2

1 The table in

Schedule 2 of the Violation Ticket Administration and Fines Regulation, B.C. Reg. 89/97, is amended under the heading “ Wildfire Act ”
