1 Subject to

section 2, nothing said or done by the minister, deputy minister, a conciliation officer or an employee in the Department of Education, Citizenship and Youth, in the course of efforts made under

Part VIII of the Act to settle a dispute is admissible in evidence in an action or proceeding before a board of arbitration relating to, or arising out of, the dispute.

Sous réserve de l'article 2, ni les paroles prononcées ni les actes accomplis par le ministre, le sous-ministre, un conciliateur ou un employé du ministère de l'Éducation, de la Citoyenneté et de la Jeunesse dans le cours des efforts qu'ils déploient, conformément à la

partie VIII de la Loi , pour régler un différend ne sont admissibles en preuve dans une action ou une procédure intentée devant un conseil d'arbitrage et portant sur le différend ou découlant de celui-ci.

2 The minister may give a board of arbitration a certificate in writing, signed by him or her, certifying

(

a) as to whether the minister has received any notice or request to do anything that he or she is by The Public Schools Act or The Education Administration Act authorized to do; and

(

b) as to whether he or she has done any such thing.

2 Le ministre peut donner au conseil d'arbitrage un certificat écrit, signé de sa main et attestant :

a) qu'il a ou n'a pas reçu un avis ou une demande d'accomplir un acte que la

Loi sur les écoles publiques ou la

Loi sur l'administration scolaire l'autorise à accomplir;

b) qu'il a ou n'a pas accompli l'acte en question.
