1 In this regulation, "community" means the Incorporated Community of Seymourville.

2 The community of Seymourville is incorporated. It is to be known as the Incorporated Community of Seymourville.

Boundaries of community

3 The boundaries of the community are as follows:

All those portions of Townships 25 and 26, Ranges 8 and 9 East of the Principal Meridian in Manitoba contained within the limits shown bordered hatched on a plan filed in the office of the Director of Surveys at Winnipeg as No. 19311.

4(1) The council shall consist of five members.

4(2) A member of the community council the day before this regulation comes into force is continued as a member of the council until he or she is replaced or re-elected.

5 The mayor must be elected by the electors of the community.

6 The election

schedule for the community is as follows:

(

a) three members, including the mayor, to be elected in 2010 and every four years after that;

(

b) two members to be elected in 2008 and every four years after that.

9 The requirement that the minister approve the disposition of Crown land in the community before the disposition occurs — as set out in subsection 181(4) of The Northern Affairs Act — is delegated to the council.

10 For greater certainty, the community is subject to

an Act other than The Northern Affairs Act only where the other Act is made applicable by

(

a) The Northern Affairs Act ;

(

b) this regulation; or

(

c) a specific reference to incorporated communities in the other Act.

TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS — EXISTING COUNCIL BY-LAWS

DISPOSITIONS TRANSITOIRES CONCERNANT CERTAINS ARRÊTÉS

Transitional continuation of certain by-laws

14(1) Subject to subsection (2), the by-law referred to in subsection (2), passed by the community council of Seymourville and filed with the minister pursuant to subsection 5(8) of The Northern Affairs Act and

section 4 of the Northern Affairs (Delegation of Authority to Enact By-laws) Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 584/88 R, is continued as if passed by the incorporated community council.

14(2) By-law 9-2000 respecting financial reserves, filed on 7 December 2000, has force and effect until 90 days after this

section comes into force or until the council re-enacts it, whichever occurs first.
