Order in Council 19/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1956/2016, dated December 14, 2016,

The Honourable Joseph James was reappointed as a part-time member of and redesignated as the Chair of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, effective from the 14 h day of December 2016, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years;

And

whereas The Honourable Joseph James will continue to serve as a part-time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, but has resigned from his designation as the part-time Chair of the Death Investigation Oversight Council;

Therefore pursuant to subsections 8(2) and 8(3) of the Coroners Act , as amended, The Honourable Joseph James’ re-designation as the part-time Chair of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, as set out in O.C. 1956/2016, is hereby rescinded but O.C. 1956/2016, dated December 14, 2016 remains in effect.
