OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated October 28, 2010, and pursuant to Sections 7 and 25J of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective November 8, 2010: (a)\x09revoke the appointment of Vicki Harnish as Deputy Minister of Finance; (

b) revoke the appointment of Margaret MacDonald as Deputy Minister of Labour and Workforce Development; (

c) revoke the appointment of Margaret MacDonald as Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Immigration; (d)\x09appoint Margaret MacDonald as Deputy Minister of Finance; (

e) appoint Jeffrey Conrad as Acting Deputy Minister of Labour and Workforce Development; (

f) appoint Jeffrey Conrad as Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Immigration; (

g) designate Margaret MacDonald and Jeffrey Conrad as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (

h) fix and determine the salaries of Margaret MacDonald and Jeffrey Conrad to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; (

i) direct that Margaret MacDonald and Jeffrey Conrad shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and (

j) designate Margaret MacDonald and Jeffrey Conrad to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
