Bill 28 (Legislature 9, Session 4)

Alberta — Bills

Bill No. 28 of 1944. A BILL TO AMEND" THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH ACT. NOTE. This Bill amends The Department of Public Health Act,

chapter 13, R.S.A., 1942. The object of this amendment is to provide for cases where Alberta residents are being hospitalized in another Province for tuberculosis or mental diseases, and residents of other Provinces are being similarly treated in this Province. It seems desirable that reciprocal arrangements should be entered into to a void moving of patients from one Province to another when perhaps they are not in fit condition to ' be moved. W. S. GRAY, Acting Legislative Counsel. (This note does not form any part of the Bill but is offered in explanation of its provisions.) BILL No. 28 of 1944.
