B.C. Reg. 35/2020 , deposited February 28, 2020, under the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [section 35 (2)] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [section 26 (2)]. Order in Council 96/2020, approved and ordered February 28, 2020.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended as

set out in the attached Appendix 1, and

(

b) the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002,

is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2.

Appendix 1

Section 5 of the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is

amended

(

a) in subsection (2) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the child's ",

(

b) in subsection (3) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " that individual's ", and

(

c) in subsection (4) (

a) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " a ".

Section 7 is amended in subsections (1) (

e) and (2) (

e) by striking out " his or her claim " and substituting " a claim " .

Section 20 (1) is amended by striking out " for himself or herself or for " and substituting " for the applicant or recipient or for ".

Section 45 (

c) is amended by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the applicant's ".

Section 81 (2) is amended by striking out " he or she " in both places and substituting " the person ".

Schedule A is amended

(

a) in

section 1 (3) (

c) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " that individual's ",

(

b) in

section 4 (5) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the recipient's ", and

(

c) in

section 8 (1) by striking out " he or she " and substituting " the person ".

Schedule C is amended in

section 4.1 (2) (b) (ii) and (iv) by striking out " him or her " and substituting " the recipient ".

Schedule D is amended

(

a) in

section 2 (11) (

c) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " that individual's ", and

(

b) in

section 4 (1) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the applicant's ".

Appendix 2

Section 6 of the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation,

B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended in subsections (1) (

e) and (2) (

e) by striking out

" his or her claim " and substituting " a claim ".

Section 17 (1) is amended by striking out " for himself or herself or for " and substituting " for the applicant or recipient or for ".

Section 23 (1.1) is amended by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the applicant's ".

Section 40 (

c) is amended by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the applicant's ".

Section 73 (2) is amended by striking out " he or she " in both places and substituting " the person ".

Schedule A is amended

(

a) in

section 4 (5) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the recipient's ", and

(

b) in

section 8 (1) by striking out " he or she " and substituting " the person ".

Schedule C is amended in

section 4.1 (2) (b) (ii) and (iv) by striking out " him or her " and substituting " the person ".

Schedule D is amended in

section 4 (1) by striking out " his or her " and substituting " the applicant's ".
