Statute: Municipal Finance Corporation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations dated April 25, 2013, and pursuant to Sections 4 and 6 of

Chapter 301 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Municipal Finance Corporation Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Robert Thibault of Church Point, Digby County, and reappoint Marc Britney of Middleton, Annapolis County, to the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation, being the members recommended for appointment by the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities, each for a term commencing July 1, 2013, and ending on June 30, 2016; (

b) appoint Nancy Dove, of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Sydney Mines) and Darrell Hiltz, of New Ross, Lunenburg County, to the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation, each for a three year term commencing July 1, 2013, and ending on June 30, 2016; (

c) reappoint Byron Rafuse of Halifax Regional Municipality and Kevin Malloy of Halifax Regional Municipality as members of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation, each for a three year term commencing July 1, 2013, and ending on June 30, 2016; and (

d) reappoint Kevin Malloy as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation for a three year term commencing July 1, 2013, and ending on June 30, 2016.
