OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture dated August 27, 2009, and pursuant to Sections 25, 26 and 27 of

Chapter 25 of the Acts of 1996, the Fisheries and Coastal Resources Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Edmond Aucoin of Antigonish, Antigonish County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Fisheries and Aquaculture Loan Board, for a term of three years effective October 6, 2009; (

b) appoint Peter Burnie of Digby, Digby County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Fisheries and Aquaculture Loan Board, for a term of three years effective October 6, 2009; (

c) determine the rate of remuneration for carrying out duties as a member of the Nova Scotia Fisheries and Aquaculture Loan Board to be $100 per day; (

d) determine that reasonable expenses incurred by members of the Board in the performance of their duties shall be paid in accordance with provincial government policy; (

e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against the members and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends, the Province will be in control of the case; and (

f) determine, as a condition of appointment, that the members shall be bound by the principles and purposes of the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act.
