Interpretation Act
OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness, dated May 27, 2020, and pursuant to Sections 4 and 6 of
Chapter 18 of the Acts of 2006, the Midwifery Act, and
Section 18 of the
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act , is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Erin Bleasdale of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a Midwife Member of the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia, made by Order in Council 2018-306 dated November 29, 2018, effective June 16, 2020; (
b) appoint Kerry Jackson of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a Midwife Member of the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia recommended by the Association of Nova Scotia Midwives, for a term of 3 years commencing June 16, 2020; (
c) reappoint Theresa Pickart of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bald Rock) as a Midwife Member of the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia recommended by the Association of Nova Scotia Midwives, for a term of 3 years commencing June 16, 2020; and (
d) reappoint Dr. Anne Houstoun of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a Physician Member to the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia recommended by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia, for a term of 3 years commencing June 16, 2020.
