Statute: Forests Act Provincial Finance Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated October 31, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 40 of

Chapter 179 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Forests Act, and

Section 19 of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, is pleased to: (

a) repeal the Forest Sustainability Regulations made by the Governor in Council and approved by Order in Council 2000-148 dated April 5, 2000, except in so far as is necessary to carry out the intent and purpose of

Section 19 of the new regulations referred to in clause (b); and (

b) make new regulations respecting forest sustainability in the form set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, effective on and after December 7, 2001.
