OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal dated April 6, 2017, and pursuant to

Section 11 of

Chapter 452 of the Revised Statues of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act , is pleased to: (

a) grant a lease of a certain parcel of land, containing an area of 2.80 acres more or less, located at 5846 South Street, Halifax, and more particularly shown outlined in bold on the plan attached as

Schedule “A”, which

Schedule is attached to and forms part of the Report and Recommendation, to Dalhousie University for the construction, operation and maintenance of an arena complex, for a term of seventy-five (75) years with an option to extend for twenty-four (24) years, at a nominal rental rate of $1.00 for the term; (

b) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to make and execute a lease agreement with Dalhousie University on terms and conditions acceptable to the Minister; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to execute such other documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
