Brule Point Game Sanctuary Designation and Regulations

made under

Section 113 of the

Wildlife Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 504

O.I.C. dated September 17, 1963, N.S. Reg. 23/63

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 12 th day of June, A.D. 1963, and pursuant to the provisions of

Section 154(1)(

a) of the Lands and Forests Act , is pleased to declare an area of the Province at Brule Point, in the County of Colchester, bounded on the southeast by the Brule Point Road, on the southwest by the Brule Point Peninsula Road and by the waters of the Northumberland Strait and containing approximately two hundred acres as a game sanctuary to be known as the Brule Point Game Sanctuary, subject to the following regulations for the control of the Brule Point Game Sanctuary and the protection of wildlife therein:

1 No person, other than a game warden or a person holding a permit issued under subsection (4) of

Section 154 of the Lands and Forests Act , shall at any time, within the limits of the Brule Point Game Sanctuary, have in his possession any game bird or other wild bird, whether such animal or bird is dead or alive, or any part of such animal or bird.

2 No person shall allow any dog to run loose within the limits of the Brule Point Game Sanctuary.

(1) No person, other than a game warden or a person holding a permit issued under subsection (4) of

Section 154 of the Lands and Forests Act , shall enter or be within the Brule Point Game Sanctuary without first having obtained a written permit from a game warden.

(2) A person who has obtained a permit issued under subsection (4) of

Section 154 or permit from a game warden shall carry the permit with him when in the said Game Sanctuary and shall produce it for inspection when required by a game warden to do so.

(3) This

Section shall not apply to the owner of land within the said Game Sanctuary or his employees.
