OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour dated April 3, 2000, pursuant to subsections 16(1), (2), (3) and (4),

Section 17 and subsections 94 (1), (2) and (3) of

Chapter 475 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Trade Union Act, and to

Section 9 of

Chapter 1 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Education Act,

Section 20 of

Chapter 15 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Act,

Section 12 of

Chapter 16 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Regional Municipalities Act, and

Section 41 of

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Community Colleges Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Gregory I. North, Q.C., of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member and Vice-chair of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) and as an alternate member of the Construction Industry Panel, for a three (3) year term of office commencing May 3, 2000, the appointment as a member and Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) to be only for the time and for matters in respect of which Peter Darby or Bruce Archibald is unavailable to serve as Chair or Vice-Chair, as the case may be; and (

b) fix the remuneration of Gregory I. North, Q.C., at the rate of $300.00 for each day he attends a meeting of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) as a member and Vice-chair or the Construction Industry Panel as an alternate member, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by him in the discharge of his duties.
