OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works and the Minister of Health and Wellness dated June 29, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the HealthServices and Insurance Act, and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act, and in accordance with the Department of Health and Wellness Capital Grants Program, is pleased, effective October 24, 2023, to: (

a) approve the making of a grant by the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of the Province to the IWK Health Centre to complete the IWK Health Centre Emergency Department Redevelopment; and (

b) authorize the IWK Health Centre entering into a net debt obligation by acquiring tangible capital assets in the form of the redeveloped IWK Health Centre Emergency Department, and executing such agreements or other documents as may be required in connection with such transactions.
