Order in Council 1020/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas

section 8 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act , as amended, requires the Lieutenant Governor in Council to formulate an emergency plan respecting emergencies arising in connection with nuclear facilities;

Therefore the document entitled “Provincial Nuclear Emergency Response Plan ( PNERP ): A Strategic Response Framework for Nuclear & Radiological Emergency Management” be adopted as an emergency plan respecting emergencies arising in connection with nuclear facilities formulated under

section 8 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act , as amended.

And further the “Provincial Nuclear Emergency Response Plan ( PNERP ): A Strategic Response Framework for Nuclear & Radiological Emergency Management”, may be revised from time to time by the minister responsible for the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act limited to updates clerical and administrative in nature.

And further that Order in Council O.C. 2317/2017, dated December 13, 2017, be revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
