Channel - Port aux Basques Municipal Planning Area

under the

Urban and Rural Planning Act

(O.C. 96?173)

Under the authority of

section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act

and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act

, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Channel - Port aux Basques Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING

AREA

Beginning at the mouth of an unnamed stream 350 metres, more or less

, north of Windsor Point;

Then along the southern bank northeast a distance of 150 metres, more or less, to the right-of-way of the former rail line;

Then in a generally southeasterly direction along the southern boundary of the former rail line to the northern bank of an unnamed stream 800 metres, more or less, east of Windsor Point;

Then in a generally northeasterly direction along the northern bank of the stream and ponds crossing Route 408 to the right-of-way of the Trans Canada Highway Route 1;

Then due east 7,375 metres, more or less, to a point on the southern bank of the Grand Bay River where the northern tributary joins the river;

Then in a general easterly direction 4,200 metres following the

River

to a point being the highwater mark on the southern bank of the

Grand

Bay

River

where an unnamed stream joins the river from the east;

Then south 88 30' east a distance of 3,350 metres, more or less, to the northern extremity of Little Bay Pond;

Then in a general southerly direction following the eastern shoreline of Little Bay River to the mouth;

Then southwesterly along the southern shoreline to Little Bay Head;

Then from Little Bay Head south 62 00' west a distance of 2,750 metres, more or less, to a point being south of Channel Head;

Then in a line which will include all unnamed islands to Southwest Point;

Then south 86 00' west to Yankee Rock;

Then north 70 00' west to the southernmost point on Duck Island;

Then north 52 30' west to highwater mark on Point Enragee;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a general northwesterly direction, and including any offshore islands, to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
