OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated December 9, 2004, and pursuant to
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act,
Section 46 of
Chapter 1 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989 (1992 Supp.), the House of Assembly Act,
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act,
Section 88 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes, the Public Service Act,
Section 2 of
Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and all other authority in him vested, is pleased to: (
a) designate Roderick Kenneth MacArthur as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and direct that Roderick Kenneth MacArthur shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan effective February 9, 2004; (
b) amend paragraph (
a) of Order in Council 81-1097G dated August 28, 1981, as amended, respecting the retirement of senior public servants by adding "Roderick Kenneth MacArthur" to the special class of persons listed therein; (
c) fix and determine the salary of Roderick Kenneth MacArthur to be at the rate of $114,489.20 effective August 9, 2004 and thereafter to be at such a rate as may be determined from time to time by the Legislative Internal Economy Board; and (
d) designate Roderick Kenneth MacArthur to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
