PACIFIC BIBLE COLLEGE AMENDMENT ACT, 2005

WHEREAS a petition has been presented to change the name of Pacific Bible College and it is expedient to grant the request in the petition;

THEREFORE, HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

1 The title of the Pacific Bible College Act, S.B.C. 1985, c. 88, is amended by striking out " PACIFIC BIBLE COLLEGE " and substituting " PACIFIC LIFE BIBLE COLLEGE ".

Section 1 is amended by striking out " Pacific Bible College Act " and substituting " Pacific Life Bible College Act ".

Section 2 is amended by repealing the

definitions of "college" and "president" and substituting the following:

"college" means the Pacific Life Bible College;

"president" means the President of the college.

Section 3 (1) is repealed and the following substituted:

(1) The college, incorporated under the Society Act as the Pacific Bible College Society and initially continued under this Act as the Pacific Bible College, is continued as a corporation under the name "Pacific Life Bible College".

(1.1) The college is comprised of the members of the board of governors.

Commencement

5 This Act comes into force on March 31, 2005.
