August 26, 2010, pursuant to the MOTOR VEHICLE ACT [Section 216].

Ministerial Order M232/2010, dated August 25, 2010.

I, Shirley Bond,

Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, order that, effective August 30, 2010,

(

a) the Inspection Standards (Safety and Repair) Regulation, B.C.

Reg. 103/2002, is repealed, and

(

b) the following regulation is

substituted:

VEHICLE INSPECTION REGULATION

Standards, criteria, guidelines and requirements

(1) The standards, criteria and guidelines in the attached

Schedule entitled

"Vehicle Inspection Manual" are established for the purposes of

section 216

of the Motor Vehicle Act .

(2) The

requirements and guidelines in the attached

Schedule entitled "Vehicle Inspection

Manual" relating to equipment that must be kept at the facility are set out for

the purposes of

section 216 of the Motor Vehicle Act .

Pursuant to

section 6 of the Regulations Act , I hereby

exempt from publication the

Schedule entitled "Vehicle Inspection Manual" of

B.C. Reg. 256/2010.

The manual May be viewed during regular office hours at

the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement office, 3A, 940 Blanshard Street,

Victoria, B.C. V8W 2H3.

The manual can also be viewed (at no charge) at all

public libraries within B.C. and at all Service BC Centres.
