MOTION MOTION In Committee Étude en comité PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO BILL AMENDEMENT PROPOSÉ AU PROJET DE LOI THE CHILDREN'S ADVOCATE'S ENHANCED MANDATE ACT (VARIOUS ACTS AMENDED)

LOI SUR L'ÉLARGISSEMENT DU MANDAT DU PROTECTEUR DES ENFANTS (MODIFICATION DE DIVERSES DISPOSITIONS LÉGISLATIVES) Moved by Honourable Mr. Mackintosh Motion de M. le m inistre Mackintosh THAT Clause 1(2) of the Bill be amended (

a) by replacing the proposed clause 8.2.3(1)(

a) with the following: (

a) must review the standards and quality of care and services provided under this Act to the child or the child's parent or guardian and any circumstances surrounding the death that relate to the standards or quality of the care and services; (

b) in the proposed subsection 8.2.3(2), by striking out "not to determine the cause of the child's death, but ". Il est proposé que le paragraphe 1(2) du projet de loi soit amendé :

a) par substitution, à l'alinéa 8.2.3(1)a), de ce qu i suit :

a) examine les normes et la qualité des soins et des services qui leur ont été fournis en vertu de la présente loi ainsi que les circonstances du décès qui ont trait aux normes ou à la qualité de ces soins et de ces services;

b) dans le paragraphe 8.2.3(2), par substitution, à « n'a pas pour objet de déterminer la cause du décès de l'enfant mais », de « a pour objet ».
