OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated June 1, 2004, pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to: (

a) approve the issuance of a lease by the Minister of Natural Resources of a parcel of Crown land containing 84.3 hectares, more or less, the exact location and area to be determined upon final survey, situate at Stellarton, Pictou County, and shown outlined in red on the plan marked

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, to Pioneer Coal Limited, a body corporate with its registered office at Antigonish, Antigonish County, its successors, trustees and permitted assigns for the purpose of surface mining for coal and the placement of infrastructure necessary to develop and operate a surface coal mine and for no other purpose, for a term of seven (7) years at the annual rent to be calculated by multiplying the appraised market value of the land by 10%, with a minimum annual rent of three hundred dollars ($300.00); and (

b) authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
