Statute: Public Highways Act Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, dated September 29, 2020, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, the Public Highways Act and

Section 11 of

Chapter 452 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act, is pleased to: (

a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway, identified as 113 Chemin P'tit Paradis Road, containing an area of 38,534.8 square feet, more or less, located at or near St. Bernard, County of Digby more particularly described in

Schedule “A” and shown on

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

b) authorize the conveyance of surplus property to J&M Foster For Cats Society, located at 113 Chemin P'tit Paradis Road in St. Bernard, Digby County, for the nominal consideration of $1.00, more particularly described in

Schedule “A” and shown on

Schedule “B” both attached forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to affect the conveyance of the lands herein above described.
