TRADES (APPRENTICESHIP RATIO) AMENDMENT REGULATION

Board on December 10, 2010 pursuant to

section 33(2) of the Apprenticeship and

Industry Training Act and approved by the Minister of Advanced Education and

Technology on December 16, 2010 pursuant to

section 33(2) of the Apprenticeship

and Industry Training Act.

1 The Boilermaker Trade Regulation (AR 264/2000) is

amended in

section 5

(

a) in subsection (2) by striking out "one apprentice and

one additional apprentice" and substituting "2 apprentices

and 2 additional apprentices";

(

b) by repealing subsection (3).

2(1) The Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator Trade

Regulation (AR 272/2000) is amended by this section.

(2) Section 9(2) is amended by striking out "one apprentice in

that branch of the trade and one additional apprentice" and

substituting "2 apprentices in that branch of the trade and 2

additional apprentices".

(3) Section 16(2) is amended by striking out "one apprentice

and one additional apprentice" and substituting "2 apprentices and

2 additional apprentices".

(4) Sections 22(2) and 24(2) are amended by striking out

"one apprentice in that craft and one additional apprentice" and

substituting "2 apprentices in that craft and 2 additional

apprentices".

3 The Plumber Trade Regulation (AR 295/2000) is amended

section 5(2) by striking out "one additional apprentice" and

substituting "2 additional apprentices".

4 The following provisions of the following Regulations

are amended by striking out "one apprentice in that branch of the

trade and one additional apprentice" and substituting "2 apprentices

in that branch of the trade and 2 additional apprentices":

(a) sections 9(2) and 15(2) of the Appliance Service Technician

Trade Regulation (AR 36/2007);

(b) sections 9(2) and 16(2) of the Gasfitter Trade Regulation

(AR 279/2000);

(c) sections 9(2) and 15(2) of the Glazier Trade Regulation

(AR 280/2000);

(d) sections 9(2), 15(2), 21(2) and 27(2) of the Heavy Equipment

Technician Trade Regulation (AR 282/2000);

(e) sections 9(2), 15(2), 20(2) and 25(2) of the Ironworker Trade

Regulation (AR 156/2006).

5 The following provisions of the following Regulations

are amended by striking out "one apprentice and one additional

apprentice" and substituting "2 apprentices and 2 additional

apprentices":
