section 283 of the Election Act , after consultation with the Election Advisory Committee under that Act, the Chief Electoral Officer orders that the attached Advertiser Information Regulation is made.

ADVERTISER INFORMATION REGULATION

Definition

1 In this regulation, "Act" means the Election Act .

Additional information that may be requested in notice to produce information

2 For the purposes of

section 276.01 (3) (

g) of the Act, a notice to produce information may require that an advertiser provide the following information to the chief electoral officer:

(

a) if known by the advertiser, the contact information of the individual or organization that sponsored the election advertising message, including a mailing address, residential address, email address, telephone number and fax number of the individual or organization;

(

b) a copy of any document used by the advertiser to verify the identity of the individual or organization referred to in

section 276.01 (3) (

b) of the Act;

(

c) copies of financial transaction records in relation to payments referred to in

section 276.01 (3) (

d) of the Act;

(

d) the means by which the election advertising message was transmitted;

(

e) a copy or transcript of each version of the advertising message and the dates on which each version was transmitted.
