B.C. Reg. 169/2003, deposited April 11, 2003, pursuant to the WILDLIFE ACT [Sections 16 and 108]. Order in Council 410/2003, approved and ordered April 10, 2003.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Limited Entry Hunting Regulation, B.C. Reg. 134/93, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix. — J. MURRAY, Minister of Water, Land and Air Protection; S. HAWKINS, Presiding Member of the Executive Council.

Appendix

1 The Limited Entry Hunting Regulation, B.C. Reg. 134/93, is amended in

section 3 (2) by striking out "1.1 of

Schedule I must pay a surcharge of $10.00 payable to a special sheep account" and substituting "2 of

Schedule I must pay a surcharge of $10.00 payable to a special sheep and Roosevelt bull elk account".

Section 4 (1) (

i) is repealed.

Section 4.1 is amended

(

a) in the marginal note by striking out "Special sheep authorizations" and substituting "Special sheep and Roosevelt bull elk authorizations",

(

b) in subsection (2.1) by striking out "item 1.1 of

Schedule I" and substituting "item 2 of

Schedule I", and

(

c) in subsection (3) by striking out "items 1 and 1.1 of

Schedule I" and substituting "items 1 and 2 of

Schedule I".

Section 4.3 (3) is amended by striking out "Items 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126, 128, 130, 132, 134, 136, 138, 140, 142, 144, 146, 148, 150, 152, 154, 156, 158, 160, 162, 164, 166, 168 and 170" and substituting "Items 143 to 173 inclusive".

Section 21 is amended in the marginal note by striking out "Elk archery season" and substituting "Archery Season".

Section 23 (1) is amended by striking out "September 10 to November 30" and substituting "September 20 to November 30".

Section 24 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the following:

(1) In Zones A and B of M.U. 4-02, Zone G of M.U. 4-03, Zone A of M.U. 4-21, Zone D of M.U. 4-22 and Zone A of M.U. 4-25 the limited entry hunting season for a person to hunt cow or calf elk is September 1 to October 15. ,

(

b) in subsection (2) by striking out "In Zones C, E and F of M.U. 4-03" and substituting "In Zones C and E of M.U. 4-03", and

(

c) in subsection (4) by striking out "August 1, 2002 or his or her 65th birthday occurs on or before August 1, 2002." and substituting "August 1 of the year of the hunt or his or her 65th birthday occurs on or before August 1 of the year of the hunt."

Section 25 (2) is amended by striking out "August 1, 2002." and substituting "August 1 of the year of the hunt."

Section 26 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (5) and substituting the following:

(5) During the period September 1 to October 24 the open season for bull moose in Zones A and B of M.U. 4-01, M.U.s 4-02 to 4-05, Zone A of M.U. 4-06, M.U. 4-07, M.U. 4-09, M.U.s 4-20 to 4-26, Zones A and B of M.U. 4-32, M.U.s 4-34 to 4-37, and M.U. 4-40 is restricted to hunting with a bow only. , and

(

b) by adding the following subsection:

(6) During the period September 1 to September 19 the open season for bull moose in Zones D, E and F of M.U. 4-38 and Zones D, E and F of M.U. 4-39 is restricted to hunting with a bow only.

Section 28 is amended

(

a) in subsection (2) by striking out "Zones B and C of 7-34" and substituting "Zones A, B and C of

7-34". , and

(

b) by repealing subsection (4) and substituting the following:

(4) A person is eligible to apply for the hunts described in Items 735 to 752 inclusive of

Schedule I only if his or her 19th birthday occurs on or after August 1 of the year of the hunt.

Section 29 (2) is amended by striking out "August 1, 2002." and substituting "August 1 of the year of the hunt."

Section 31 is amended in the marginal note by striking out "Kettle — antlerless elk" and substituting "Christian Valley — antlerless elk".

Section 32 (3) is amended by striking out "June 1, 2000." and substituting "June 1 of the previous calendar year."

Schedule I is repealed and the attached

Schedule I is substituted.

Schedule II is amended

(

a) by repealing map 2001/2002 Elk 2/6 and substituting the attached map 2003/2004 Elk 2/6,

(

b) by repealing map 2002/2003 Elk 3/6 and substituting the attached map 2003/2004 Elk 3/6,

(

c) by repealing map 2001/2002 Elk 6/6 and substituting the attached map 2003/2004 Elk 6/6,

(

d) by repealing map 2001/2002 Mountain Sheep 3/8 and substituting the attached map 2003/2004 Mountain Sheep 3/8,

(

e) by repealing map 2001/2002 Moose 7/17 and substituting the attached map 2003/2004 Moose 7/17,

(

f) by repealing map 2001/2002 Mountain Goat 4/23 and substituting the attached map 2003/2004 Mountain Goat 4/23,

(

g) by repealing the following maps:

(i) 2002/2003 Elk 6.1/6;

(ii) 2002/2003 Kookanosa 6.4/6;

(iii) 2002/2003 Mayook 6.5/6;

(iv) 2002/2003 Rocky View 6.7/6;

(v) 2002/2003 Ft. Steele 6.11/6;

(vi) 2002/2003 Bull Mountain 6.14/6, and

(

h) by adding the following maps:

(i) 2003/2004 Mountain Goat 14.1/23;

(ii) 2003/2004 Moose 14.1/17;

(iii) 2003/2004 Jaffrey 6.16/6;

(iv) 2003/2004 Cranbrook 6.17/6.
