OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated October 5, 2005, and pursuant to Sections 6 and 7 of
Chapter 20 of the Acts of 1990, the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation Act, is pleased, effective October 27, 2005, to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Wayne Mason as a member of the Board of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2004-462 dated December 3, 2004; (
b) appoint Debra Forsyth-Smith of Timberlea, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation for a term of three (3) years; (
c) authorize the payment of $100 per day, plus reasonable expenses to the members of the Board for attending Board meetings of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation; and (
d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointee of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
