OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated November 5, 2013, and pursuant to
Section 3 of
Chapter 113 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crop and Livestock Insurance Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Arthur Pick of Rawdon, Hants County, Manager of Agricultural Protection Division, Department of Agriculture, as a Member and designate him as Vice-chairman of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term of 3 years, effective February 4, 2014; and (
b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against Arthur Pick and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends, the Province will be in control of the case.
