Under the authority of

section 257 of the Municipalities Act

and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act

, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

The boundaries of the Town of

Bird Cove

are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

Newfoundland

Regulations 689/78 and 141/79 are repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being the highwater mark on the shoreline of Dog Point;

Then following the sinuosities of that shoreline in a general easterly and southerly direction running along Fisherman Cove, North Cove and East Cove to a point being on the north bank at the mouth of an unnamed river which flows from the northeast into East Cove;

Then north 3 30' west a distance of 2,450 metres, more or less, to a point being on the north bank of an unnamed river which flows to the west from the most westerly shoreline of an unnamed pond;

Then north 41 30' west a distance of 1,650 metres, more or less, to a point being the highwater mark on the shoreline of Bird Cove a distance of 975 metres, more or less, southwest of Grave Point;

Then following the sinuosities of that shoreline in a general southwesterly and northerly direction passing along Beach Point and Dog Cove to the point of commencement.

All bearings herein refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping.
