OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated November 16, 2017, is pleased to, effective on and after December 12, 2017: (

a) pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act, and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act, and in accordance with the Department of Health and Wellness Capital Grants Program, approve the making of a grant by the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of the Province in the total amount not to exceed twenty-two million four hundred forty-one thousand dollars ($22,441,000.00) to the Nova Scotia Health Authority to contribute to the funding of renovations at the Dartmouth General Hospital and the Hants Community Hospital, and design costs for the Halifax Infirmary and Dartmouth General Hospital expansion and renovation projects, the cost of which grant is to be paid on the basis of invoiced costs submitted to the Department of Health and Wellness and charged to Capital Grants; and (

b) pursuant to

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , authorize the Minister of Health and Wellness entering into the net debt obligation resulting from increasing the planned contribution for the South Shore Regional Hospital redevelopment, the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital redevelopment, and the Purdy Building Demolition.
