WHEREAS community foundations make a significant impact in their communities by prudently investing and managing gifts from donors that are used to support local projects and initiatives; Attendu : qu'en investissant avec prudence et en gérant les dons destinés aux projets et aux initiatives locaux, les fondations communautaires apportent une contribution significative aux communautés qu'elles servent; 1

AND

WHEREAS The Winnipeg Foundation, established in 1921, was the first community foundation in Canada; AND

WHEREAS there are 57 community foundations across Manitoba that serve 90% of all Manitobans; AND
