OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness, dated June 16, 2020, and pursuant to
Section 65 of
Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2005, the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act , is pleased to: (
a) appoint Dr. Mahmoud Awara of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a psychiatrist member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a term of 5 years commencing June 30, 2020; (
b) reappoint Dr. Philip Mills of Halifax Regional Municipality (Cow Bay) as a psychiatrist member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a term of 5 years commencing June 30, 2020; (
c) appoint Nancy Elliott of Halifax Regional Municipality (Brookside) as a lawyer member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a for term of 4 years commencing June 30, 2020; (
d) reappoint Gregg Knudsen of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a lawyer member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a for term of 3 years commencing June 30, 2020; (
e) appoint Hubert Devine of Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, as a lay member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a term of 4 years commencing June 30, 2020; (
f) reappoint (Edgar) Lawrence "Larry" Clement of Halifax Regional Municipality (Head of St. Margarets Bay) as a lay member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a term of 3 years commencing June 30, 2020; (
g) reappoint Brooke Gray of Cherry Hill, Lunenburg County, as a lay member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a term of 3 years commencing June 30, 2020; and (
h) reappoint David Merrigan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Hammonds Plains) as a lay member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a term of 3 years commencing June 30, 2020.
