OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated December 4, 2002, and pursuant to Sections 17 and 18 of

Chapter 246 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Labour Standards Code, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of E.A. Nelson Blackburn, Q.C., appointed by Order in Council 2000-166 dated April 5, 2000, effective January 19, 2003; (

b) reappoint E.A. Nelson Blackburn, Q.C. of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Labour Standards Tribunal for a term of three (3) years, effective January 19, 2003; (

c) designate E.A. Nelson Blackburn, Q.C. as Chair of the Labour Standards Tribunal, effective January 19, 2003; and (

d) fix the remuneration of E.A. Nelson Blackburn, Q.C. as member and Chair at $6,000.00 per annum, plus $100.00 per day for each day of attendance at hearings of the Labour Standards Tribunal, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses incurred by him in the discharge of his duties.
