Statute: Public Highways Act Expropriation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Public Works dated July 25, 2001, pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act, and

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act, is pleased to: (

a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway system designated as Lot RR-2 having an area of 8,631 square feet and Lot RR-3 having an area of 8,682 square feet and dispose of surplus property designated as Lot 50BX having an area of 8,873 square feet for a total of 26,186 square feet, more or less, situate at or near Lantz, Hants County, and more particularly described in

Schedule "A" as shown outlined in red on

Schedule "B" which schedules are attached to and form part of the report and recommendation; (

b) convey the land to The Shaw Group Limited, a body corporate, of Lantz, Hants County, for the price of $1.00 and other valuable considerations; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Public Works to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines.
