Annapolis Basin Look Off Provincial Park Designation

made under

Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 86-910 (July 29, 1986), N.S. Reg. 205/86

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Lands

and Forests dated the 23rd day of July, A.D., 1986, pursuant to

Section 2 of

Chapter 244 of the

Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act , is pleased to

(

a) constitute all that area of land situate at Broad Cove, in the County of Digby, owned

by Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial

Park, the said area of land being described in

Schedule “A” and shown outlined in

bold line on the copy of Department of Lands and Forests Plan No. P-137/84A

marked

Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and

recommendation; and

(

b) declare that the Park shall be known by the name of “Annapolis Basin Look Off

Provincial Park”.

Schedule “A”

All and singular that certain lot, piece, parcel or tract of land situate, lying and being at Broad

Cove, in the County of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia as shown on a Plan (Field Plot No.

P-137/84A) filed in the Department of Lands and Forests Office, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, said

parcel being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a survey marker numbered D532 situated on the eastern boundary of the highway

leading from Digby Town to Digby Ferry and being (by grid bearings referenced to the Nova

Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 5, Central Meridian 64° 30' West

Longitude) N 05° 03' 00" E a distance of 405.51 feet from Nova Scotia Co-ordinate Monument

No. 25683 having co-ordinate values of N 16,223,157.77 feet and E 17,717,360.08 feet;

Thence (from the place of beginning) N 03° 57' 30" E a distance of 16.94 feet to an

unmonumented point;

Thence northerly 257.78 feet along the arc of a curve to the right, having a radius of

1467.92 feet to an unmonumented point, said unmonumented point being N 08° 54' 50" E a

distance of 257.42 feet from the last described point;

Thence N 13° 56' 40" E a distance of 515.33 feet to an unmonumented point;

Thence northerly 608.11 feet along the arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 2900.86 feet

to a survey marker numbered D530, said survey marker D530 being N 09° 16' 10" E a

distance of 606.96 feet from the last described point;

Thence S 80° 43' 50" E a distance of 15.00 feet more or less to the ordinary high water mark of

the Annapolis Basin;

Thence southeastwardly and southwestwardly following the various courses of the ordinary

high water mark a distance of 1432 feet more or less to a point;

Thence N 86° 07' 00" W a distance of 10 feet more or less to a survey marker numbered D531;

Thence continuing N 86° 07' 00" W a distance of 57.30 feet to the place of beginning;

Containing an area of 2.5 acres more or less.
