Order in Council 647/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to

section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act , R.S.O. 1990

chapter M.19, the Lieutenant Governor in Council may appoint such advisory committees or other consulting bodies as considered necessary from time to time;

And

whereas O.C 919/16 established a French Language University Planning Board for a period ending no later than March 31, 2017, to advise the Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development on matters relating to the development of a French language university in Ontario, in accordance with Terms of Reference established by the Minister;

And

whereas O.C 919/16 further provided that the French Language University Planning Board shall have such members as are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council for terms that end no later than March 31, 2017, and the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall designate one member as Chair;

Now therefore :

The term of the French Language University Planning Board is continued for a period from April 1, 2017 and ending no later than September 30, 2017;

The term of the members appointed to the French Language University Planning Board by the Lieutenant Governor in Council as of the date this Order-in-Council comes into force may be continued for terms from April 1, 2017 that end no later than September 30, 2017;

The term of such other members as are appointed to the French Language University Planning Board by the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall end no later than September 30, 2017;

This Order-in-Council shall be subject to the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
