OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Education dated August 6, 2002, and pursuant to
Section 10 of
Chapter 254 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Libraries Act, is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of James MacAlpine of Digby, Digby County, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2001-313, dated June 29, 2001; (
b) appoint Jennifer Richard of Wolfville, Kings County as a member of the Annapolis Valley Regional Library Board, for a term of office of three years commencing August 29, 2002; and (
c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Jennifer Richard, and indemnify her from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
