OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated November 29, 2006, pursuant to

Section 13 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Thomas Haney, of Chester, Lunenburg County, made by Order in Council 2006-349, dated July 24, 2006; (

b) appoint R. Lester Jesudason of Halifax Regional Municipality as a member and designate him as Vice-chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three years commencing December 18, 2006; (

c) fix the remuneration of the Vice-chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board at $175.00 per meeting; and (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against R. Lester Jesudason and indemnify him from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
