Conservation easement for recognized archaeological site

Citation

1 These regulations may be cited as the Archaeological Sites Regulations .

Definitions

2 In these regulations,

(a) “Act” means the Conservation Easements Act ;

(b) “recognized archaeological site” means land that has been documented and

recognized as part of the Maritime Archaeological Resource Inventory as

maintained by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage.

Conservation easement for recognized archaeological site

3 A conservation easement may be granted under the Act for the purpose of protecting,

restoring or enhancing land that is a recognized archaeological site.
