B.C. Reg. 103/2006, deposited April 27, 2006, pursuant to the MOTOR VEHICLE ACT [Section 210]. Order in Council 304/2006, approved and ordered April 27, 2006.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 7.07 (2) of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg 26/58, is amended by striking out " 5 m" and substituting " 6 m".

2 Sections 19.01 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out "Minister of Transportation" and substituting "minister charged with the administration of the Transportation Act ",

(

b) in subsection (3) by striking out "Ministry of Transportation and Highways" and substituting "ministry of the minister charged with the administration of the Transportation Act ".

Section 19.02 (2) is amended by striking out "Minister of Transportation and Highways" and substituting "minister charged with the administration of the Transportation Act ".

Section 19.03 (4) is amended by striking out "Minister of Transportation and Highways" and substituting "minister charged with the administration of the Transportation Act ".

Section 19.04 is amended by striking out "7.22, 7.23 and 7.24" and substituting "7.10, 7.11 and 7.29".

Section 35.05 is amended

(

a) in subsection (3) (

e) by adding "chains" after "retaining pins,", and

(

b) by repealing subsection (5) and substituting the following:

(5) Pole trailers manufactured after January 1, 1993, and equipped with adjustable reaches must have welds, bolts, stops or some other positive means other than a friction clamp to prevent separation between any reach section.
