Bill 3 BILL 3 1978 THE APPROPRIATION (INTERIM SUPPLY) ACT, 1978 (Assented to , 1978) MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN:

WHEREAS it appears by Messages from His Honour, Ralph G. Steinhauer, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Alber ta, and the Estimates accompanying the Messages, that t~e sums hereinafter mentioned are required to defray certam expenditures of the Public Service of Alberta not otherwise provided for during the fiscal year ending March 31, 1979, and for other purposes relating thereto: MA Y IT THEREFORE PLEASE YOUR MAJESTY that it be enacted and

be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, as follows: 1 From and out of the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum not exceeding $1 308 670 561 towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the Public Ser vice from April 1, 1978 to March 31, 1979, not otherwise provided for and being the aggregate of (

a) one-third of the amount of the programme, support service, and other votes set forth in the Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1979, except the VOTE FOR SALARY CONTINGENCY and those programme and sup port service votes set forth in Schedule" A" to this Act all as laid before the Legislative Assembly at the present ~es sion of the Legislature, and (

b) the amounts enumerated in

Schedule "A" to this Act being portions of the respective programme and support service votes enumerated therein. 2 The due application of all money expended under this Act shall be accounted for. 1

3 This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to.
