Order in Council 1233/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Sonya Sahay has been appointed as full-time member of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal by Order in Council O.C. 1087/2021, effective August 12, 2021.

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 173(2) of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 and despite Order in Council O.C. 2310/2017, as amended by Order in Council O.C. 893/2018,

Sonya Sahay be paid annual remuneration of $118,378 during the term of this appointment;

Further , that Sonya Sahay be eligible for benefits, including vacation, comparable to the benefit entitlements of OPS executives in the Senior Management Group and be entitled to elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan;

And Further, that Sonya Sahay be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out her duties for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
