OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated September 19, 2024, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and subsection 10(1) of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased, effective September 20, 2024, to: (

a) appoint Sandra McKenzie as Deputy Minister of Emergency Management; (

b) designate Sandra McKenzie as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

c) direct that Sandra McKenzie shall receive benefits associated with the position of deputy head as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (

d) fix and determine the salary of Sandra McKenzie to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers.
