B.C. Reg. 200/2004, deposited May 7, 2004, pursuant
to the CHILD CARE SUBSIDY ACT [Section 13]. Order in Council 446/2004,
approved and ordered May 6, 2004.
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the
Child Care Subsidy Regulation, B.C. Reg. 74/97, is amended in accordance
with the attached Schedule.

Schedule
Section 1 of the Child Care Subsidy Regulation, B.C. Reg. 74/97, is amended
(
a) in the definition of "Canada child tax benefit"
by adding "and includes the child disability benefit" at the end,
(
b) by adding the following definition:
"child disability benefit" means a supplement to
the Canada child tax benefit received by families with a child who meets the
criteria for the Disability Tax Credit provided under the Income Tax Act
(Canada) ; ,
(
c) by striking out paragraph (
f) of the definition of
"permitted operating expenses" and substituting the following:
(
f) charges imposed by a savings institution on an account
and interest; , and
(
d) in the definition of "self-employment program"
by adding "or the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities
Act " after " Employment and Assistance Act ".
Section 9.1 (2) (
b) is amended
(
a) in subparagraph (
i) by striking out everything between
"small business" and ", or", and
(
b) by repealing subparagraph (iii) and substituting
the following:
(iii) is used for costs of renovation to the recipient's
place of residence if
(
A) the renovations are part of a business plan accepted,
under a self-employment program, by the minister charged with responsibility
for the Employment and Assistance Act and the Employment and Assistance
for Persons with Disabilities Act , and
(
B) the costs do not exceed $5 000 or a greater amount approved by that minister.
Section 10 is amended in subsection (2) by adding the following to the table:

$2 206 for the first 10 plus $123 for each additional person
