An Act respecting Forage Banks (Assented to , 1970) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as The Forage Bank Act. 2. Two or more producers of forage may join together to form an association or a co-operative to establish a for age bank in their particular area. 3. Such forage banks shall be set up under the super vision of a District Agriculturalist in the locality. 4. A forage bank operated pursuant to this Act is a business to which the services of the Alberta Commercial Corporation may be made available. 5. The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make regu lations as to (

a) the kinds of forage that will be acceptable for the purposes of this Act, (

b) the methods of handling and storage of forage by a forage bank, and (

c) safeguards such as insurance and bonding of forage banks in regard to payment to producers. 6. The actual producers involved in the set up of the forage bank may not only use forage from their own pro duction but may buy such forage as may be available in an area in any year. 7.
