OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated May 17, 2001, and pursuant to Sections 19A and 62A of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, is pleased to: (

a) ratify and confirm the payment from the Public Debt Retirement Fund for the payment and retirement of Province of Nova Scotia debenture Series 9H, issued November 30, 1990 and Province of Nova Scotia debenture Series 9U issued January 3, 1996, and in conjunction therewith, to remit the debt represented by PNS promissory note DEPT10329 and PNS promissory note DEPT10330, or any replacement notes; (

b) direct the Minister of Finance to pay out of the Public Debt Retirement Fund, at such time or times, if any, as the Minister determines is necessary to pay and retire such securities of the Province as mature during the fiscal year 2001-2002, the total amount of the payments from the Public Debt Retirement Fund during that fiscal year not to exceed the sum of CAD$100,000,000.
