OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated May 13, 2016, and pursuant to

Section 672.38 and 672.39 of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Dr. Syed Akhtar of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board for a term of three years, commencing May 28, 2016; (

b) appoint Dr. Robert Pottle of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board for a term of three years, commencing May 28, 2016; (

c) appoint John Withrow of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board for a term of three years, commencing May 28, 2016; (

d) revoke the appointment of Dr. Nicholas J.G. Delva of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board, effective June 15, 2016; (

e) determine that the remuneration of Dr. Syed Akhtar, Dr. Robert Pottle and Mr. John Withrow be at the rate of $75.00 per hour for time spent necessarily attending to their duties as members of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board; and (

f) determine that Dr. Syed Akhtar, Dr. Robert Pottle and Mr. John Withrow shall be paid such actual and reasonable travel and other expenses as may be incurred by them in the performance of their duties, payable in accordance with the travel policies and guidelines of the Province of Nova Scotia applicable to civil servants.
