OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated December 9, 2021, and pursuant to Sections 7, 41A(1) and 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act ,

Section 11 of

Chapter 155 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Executive Council Act , and subsection 10(1) of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased, effective December 13, 2021, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Scott Farmer as Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change; (

b) revoke the appointment of Lora MacEachern, Q.C., as Associate Deputy Minister of Justice; (

c) revoke the appointment of Dana MacKenzie as Associate Deputy Minister responsible for Executive Council Office, as Acting Clerk of the Executive Council and as Secretary to the Executive Council; (

d) appoint Lora MacEachern, Q.C., as Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change; (

e) appoint Dana MacKenzie as Associate Deputy Minister of Justice; (

f) appoint Jennifer Glennie as Associate Deputy Minister responsible for Executive Council Office; (

g) appoint Karen Anthony as Acting Clerk of the Executive Council and as Secretary to the Executive Council; (

h) fix and determine the salary of Lora MacEachern, Q.C., to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers; (

i) designate Jennifer Glennie as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

j) fix and determine the salary of Jennifer Glennie to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; and (

k) direct that Jennifer Glennie shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head, including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
