OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated October 22, 2013, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act ,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased to effective October 23, 2013: (

a) appoint Frances Martin as Acting Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness; (

b) appoint Frances Martin as Acting Deputy Minister of Seniors; (

c) appoint Frank Dunn as Acting Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development; (

d) appoint Dan McDougall as Acting Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations; (

e) designate Frances Martin, Frank Dunn, and Dan McDougall as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

f) fix and determine the salaries of Frances Martin, Frank Dunn, and Dan McDougall to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier and in accordance with the Senior Official Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers; and (

g) direct that Frances Martin, Frank Dunn, and Dan McDougall shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier.
