OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated March 29, 2001, pursuant to subsections 161 (1) and (2) of
Chapter 10 of the Act of Nova Scotia, 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (
a) establish that the terms of reference of the Review Committee, the quorum for meetings, the length of time the committee shall sit and the date by which the Committee shall make its report and recommendations to the Governor in Council shall be as set forth in
Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation of the Minister; (
b) appoint as members of the Review Committee: (
i) James E. Dorsey, Q.C., of Lions Bay, British Columbia; (ii) Michael K. Power of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County; (iii) Betty Jean Sutherland of New Glasgow, Pictou County, representing workers; (iv) Janet Hazelton of Truro, Colchester County, representing workers; (
v) Barbara Lewis of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, representing workers; (vi) Carol MacCulloch of Grand Lake, Halifax Regional Municipality, representing employers; (vii) Joe O'Brien of Windsor, Hants County, representing employers; (viii) Robert Cook of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, representing employers; (
c) designate James E. Dorsey, Q.C., as Chair of the Review Committee, and Michael K. Power as Vice-Chair; (
d) fix the remuneration of Betty Jean Sutherland, Janet Hazelton, Barbara Lewis, Carol MacCulloch, Joe O'Brien and Robert Cook at $150 per day served at the call of the Chair; and (
e) fix the remuneration of James E. Dorsey, Q.C., as member and Chair of the Review Committee at $185 per hour and Michael K. Power of Bridgewater at $150 per hour, payable in accordance with the terms of reference.
